Bentley Motors launches the new Continental GT3-R in icy north of Finland. The ice driving concept reappears in the power on Ice 2015, 4 day event that enables Bentley guests to drive on frozen ice track beyond the limitations. The launch of GT3- R will be in the hands of Mr. Juha Kankkunen, a 4-time World Rally Champion and 2-time ice speed record breaker.
GT3-R has the lightest V8 of the entire range, it is decreased by 100 kgs by the utilisation of carbon fibre, titanium exhaust, and the rear seats are not available. The engine produces 572 bhp of peak power at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 700 Nm from 1,700 rpm which is quite low.
Bentley Continental GT3-R is offered with an 8-speed Quick shift transmission that enables this GT to reach 100 kmph from standstill in just 3.8 seconds. The sophisticated torque vectoring permits the engine to manage torque at individual rear wheel. Dampers and Air springs utilise development of sports-tuned setup from the Continental V8 S which is already known for best handing Bentley ever.
It is offered with 21 inch wheels and high grip Pirelli tyres. The interior indulges driver and passenger with Alcantara and Beluga hide sports seats. Power on Ice 2015, will let the guests to drive a selection of Continental GTs and the Flying Spurs on ice along with sharpening its skills. The advanced 4 wheel drive system shifts the power based on the amount of grip available. The organisation arranged snowmobile rides and ice-karting for the guests who expect something more than bashing Continentals around on sheath ice. Extreme cold condition is maintained at the bay by using luxurious hand trimmed heated leather seats.
