Volvo India has introduced the XC60 R-Design at Rs 51 lakh while few days earlier luxury automaker launched S60 R-Design with a price of Rs. 40.10 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi, both prices). R-Design trims are provided with cosmetic changes like newly designed front bumper, black honeycomb air dam, 18 inch diamond cut alloys, black grille with R-Design insignia. It also includes features like ORVMs with silver finish, visible diffuser and two chrome exhausts.
And it also gets an exclusive new Passion Red Shade. Inside the cabin, vehicle has R-Design steering wheel, R-Design seats, and an upgraded audio system and even paddles shifters. It includes safety features like an infotainment system, satellite navigation and rear view camera.
Mechanically, both XC60 R-Design and S60 R Design are enclosed by Drive-E engines. R-Design car is newly developed with 2.0 litre, four-cylinder Drive E engine that produces a power of 178bhp and maximum torque of 400Nm.
In gearbox section, 6-speed automatic gearbox is being replaced with 8-speed automatic unit. The manufacturer also unveiled some technical details about the second generation XC90 that marks its presence at special event in Stockholm, Sweden. XC90 will be first Volvo to have organisation’s new Scalable Product Architecture and according to the manufacturer has been under development by the organisation engineers for four years.
Mostly the components are new and that includes “Thor’s Hammer” T-shaped LED daytime running lights. XC90 is enclosed by a 2.0 liter, 4-cylinder turbocharged and also supercharged engine driving front wheels with an electric motor power.
